No Religion

Read a little book sometime back...
..called You Must Be Joking .. author ~ Michael Green.. first printed 1976.

imagine John Lennon reading the book...going back and writing Imagine II

interestingly this is what Lennon meant when he wrote "...and no religion too"

It is the concept of positive prayer ... If you can imagine a world at peace, with no denominations of religion—not without religion but without this-my-God-is-bigger-than-your-God thing—then it can be true ... The World Church called me once and asked, "Can we use the lyrics to 'Imagine' and just change it to 'Imagine one religion'? That showed [me] they didn't understand it at all. It would defeat the whole purpose of the song, the whole idea."

So Lennon wasn't against religion..
while Dietrich Bonhoeffer says..'In a very real sense he came to destroy religion' ..
'He' who?... read below

The earliest Christians had no churches.... no priests....the Romans called them 'atheists'..
Well.. Norwegian black metal bands burning down churches?
Maybe their actions have been taken in the wrong.... light by the.... church...

..I shall end today's sermon post by choosing hymn number  track #1 - Building the Church
..from the aptly titled album..if i may say so.... Real Illusions: Reflections..

One of my favourite Vai tunes..especially love the above performance in Tokyo..
You may say i'm a dreamer but i imagine one day that he's gonna come
and play in India with the particular line-up in the Tokyo G3 tour..

The X Factor in my Life

My BMX
Almost 7 months old now.
It's a FireFox. I got it as a reward from the folks at Mozilla for reporting
bugs & other errors in the Firefox browser for 6 years...everyday. They'd offered me something a little more fuel hungry but i declined.
